Denise Cannatella

Commissioner

Denise was appointed as a Commissioner for the Port of Krotz Springs on September 21, 2022, by the St. Landry Parish Government.

She and her husband, Charles, along with their son Vincent, own and operate Cannatella Outdoors in Melville, LA where they farm 4000 acres consisting of sugarcane, corn, and wheat. Denise is in the office where her concentration is bill payments and labor

Roughly 25 years ago, Denise became interested in advocating for agriculture. It is a passion of hers to share her life’s experiences in agriculture and the life we live because of it. She loves speaking with our consumers and voters about the methods they implement in order to grow the food, fiber, and fuels we all need to exist in the world on a daily basis.

Through this love of advocating, she found a place in the Louisiana Farm Bureau Foundation where she had and still maintains the opportunity of sitting on the state Ag in the Classroom Committee, where the main goal is to place accurate information about agriculture in the hands of the teachers that are teaching our young consumers and future decision makers.

She and her husband Charles are the parents of 2 children, Vincent and his wife Krysten & Ashlee and her husband Chance. They are proud Grandparents to Colette, Remy, Celia, & Coraline.
